Summit of the Americas

March 25, 2009 · 2 Comments

Trinidad and Tobago hosted the Fifth Summit of the Americas. So much sprucing up, you’d think it was Christmas. Was it worth it? What do you think? Is the summit a waste of time and money? Do you think we will benefit from it? What impact will it have on our economy?

hi ,i think while the sumit would make us recognisable on the map even more i believe that too much money is being spent on it.our country is,i think,is not ready enough to hold this summit. YES u say i should be patriotic and all but what about hyprotism?
while many of our youths are still on the streets the betham hasnt emproved and day by day the price of living gets higher while unemployment and poverty is on the rank! why not take the money and help “build” trinidad stabily first?
use the same effort ur using for this summit and fix this country!!!!!
    THAT IS TRUE “PATRIOTISM”

It was a gigantic waste of money and I think just a show for Mr. Manning’s ego not necessarily the country as I got the impression that he was ashamed of the citzenry as we were locked away.
