We are glad for your feedback, the training for all staff is an ongoing process. In the meantime, feel free to express your concerns to the librarian in charge.

So far so good this year. exams were a challenge but we did it! thanks to my hardworking teachers at Holy Faith Convent, Couva and also the Couva Public Library. the new additions were greatly appreciated and did not go unnoticed.

Thank you Nalis! Visited the National Library and enjoyed your display. It was very informative.

Hope to be one of your regulars in the near future to utilise this important service provided by this outstanding organization.

Comment: For years I have been visiting the Couva Public Library where I go to study. For the numerous times I have visited, I always go with the assumption that the library would be a "quiet" environtment which would be "conducive" to studying. On every occasion I have been proved wrong and it has progressed over the years to such an extent that I see the need for me to write to you to complain about the lack of courtesy and professionalism exhibited by the staff at this library.
The staff at the Couva Public Library continuously talk and laugh loudly although it is understood that a library is "supposed" to be quiet. Although the library is small, the staff often speak loudly to each other across the room, while they are at opposite sides, and this can be very disturbing and unnecessary. What is more disturbing is that this type of behaviour is also being displayed by the most senior person (maybe the supervisor) in the library, who I would assume knew the rules and conduct themself in a professional manner.
I distinctly remember from my previous visits to the said library that the library's telephone rang at the loudest volume that it could. I find it very ironic that there is loud speaking and a loud ringing telephone when there is a rule about cellphone use in the library, which I do not condone becuase I find it equally distracting and disturbing. On numerous occassions I am forced to use use my hands to cover my ears or use ear plugs so that I would not be distracted or disturbed while studying in the library.
I would like to plead to the relevant authority to rectify this situation as soon as possible so that the library could be a pleasnt experience. Thank you.

Regards.

The Young Adult library is fun to be in now. I can read my favorite books, lime with friends and be a part of all the interesting programs they have now. The whole staff is helpful, especially the new librarian.

What I would like to see for this new year is the opportunity to have books sent between libraries. It is very frustrating to find a book you want on the online catalogue then discovering that it is at a library which is very far away.

Also I very often see books marked available on the online catalogue and very often they are not on the shelves. The library staff are often unsure where they are themselves. The library needs to do an audit and determine which books are lost/missing, so the online catalogue can be updated.

I am very happy with the way library is progressing, and I hope that we see big changes this year.

Great service and friendly staff at the National Library in POS. I visited our the Christmas vacation and the service was still excellent.

Thank you for taking the time to make an environment which my friends can come and study.

Wishing you all the best for the New Year. Please continue with your 'One Book One Community' drive. I look forward to the next one.
